The last time I wrote about redesigning my website was back in 2023. Since then, I’ve learned so much more about user interface design. My latest insights come from completing half of the Learn UI Design course last year.
Here, I wanted to apply my new design skills by redesigning this website. Unlike my previous redesigns, I created mockups this time in Figma.
This helped me iterate over so many more different ideas than before. In the past, I would try to just design by writing the code first and seeing if I liked it. I realize now that this was much slower and it prevented me from exercising my creativity.
This latest redesign was finished sometime in 2024. I’m already thinking about making some more tweaks but I wanted to document what I have so far before I proceed with those.
Some Notes
- With this design, I wanted to lean more towards keeping things clean and simple.
- I removed the projects page because I wasn’t really creating new projects to share. Hence, this page became redundant.
- This design uses two fonts: Satoshi Variable and Source Serif 4.
- There’s a new Reading page where I share a list of books I’ve read.
- I added a Now page featuring a short post on what I’m working on. This was inspired by NowNowNow by Derek Sivers.
- I spent a bit of time on updating the layout for blog posts. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Conclusion
I had a lot of fun putting together this redesign. Indeed, this work marked a significant evolution in my design skills and my vision for my website. I’m only just getting started in my design journey and look forward to seeing what comes next.
